What is a CDE, or common data environment?
It's the single place where the team stores, reviews and approves project information: drawings, models, reports and whatever comes in from outside. Every file has a code, a status (work in progress, shared, published, archived) and a history, so everyone knows which version is current.
What does ISO 19650 require on a project?
That information is produced with an agreed code and classification, that it goes through statuses with clear owners before it's used, and that there's a record of who reviewed and approved it. It doesn't require any particular software: it requires a process, and a CDE is the tool that enforces it.
How do I share the project with someone who has no licenses?
DesignBB is priced per project, not per person: you invite the client or the consultant as a Viewer and they see the approved and issued versions in the browser, with nothing to install and at no extra cost. View-only public links, for people without an account, are on the way.
How do I detect clashes between IFC models?
Set up a clash capsule with each discipline's stable versions, or with an IFC you upload to test. Pick a base model against the rest, or all against all, and the clearance. Clashes come grouped by type and by level, and you decide which ones are issues. If you work in Revit, export IFC.
How do I code drawings under ISO 19650?

What are the MIDP and the TIDP?
They're the ISO 19650 delivery plans. The TIDP belongs to each team: which documents it will produce and by when. The MIDP brings them together into the plan for the whole project. They tell you, at each stage, what's still missing.
Is there an alternative to Autodesk Construction Cloud?
